After completing his undergraduate medical degree, Neil initially worked as a clinician in the public and private hospital sector for five years before specialising in public health and becoming a Public Health Physician and Fellow in Public Health in Australia.

 

Subsequently he has practised broadly throughout the health system, with roles in the Victorian state health department, as well as in public health academia, before transitioning to working in R&D clinical development; and strategic and medical governance roles in the pharmaceutical industry.

 

He has over 15 years in a variety of pharmaceutical industry roles in both Australia and the United Kingdom, with a mix of global and national roles.

He completed his MBA at Melbourne University in 2005, with a focus on strategy, to supplement his broad clinical, public health and commercial experience. Since 2012 Neil has been providing expert advisory consulting services to a range of pharma clients in Australia through his consulting company.

Neil’s strengths derive from his analytical mind, mental flexibility, and ability to assess and locate information to inform complex problem solving, scenario assessment and recommending strategically aligned solutions. Alongside work, he is an avid traveller, beach explorer and cafe culture enthusiast.
